FIVE Astronomy Topics

Black Holes -are really just black holes whcih are formed by a star three times as big as the sun.Black holes where discovered in 1916 ny a Greman astronomer Karl Schwarzschild.Black holes have such a strong gravitational pull that can pull anything within it radius into the hole.

Pluto -which is a dwarft plante was dicovered in 1930 and from the 1930s to 2006 pluto was a planet. Throught out the years we have benn able to see that pluto is way to small and clod plus tyo fat away from the sun to be a plante. Pluto is still part of our solar system just not cualtified as a planet.

Dwarf plant- there are eight dwarf planets know of in our solar system. Dwarf planets are in orbit around the sun. They also have nearly round bodies which has sufficient mass to assume hydrostatic equilibrium.

Kuiper Belt- is a ring of orbiting celestial bodies. The ring is made of small astronomical objects orbiting through the outer solar system, beyond the farthest planets, Neptune and Pluto. The Kuiper Belt is believed to be the source of comets.

Asteroid Belt- The region of the solar system between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, where most of the asteroids are found. The Asteroid Belt or Main Belt, probably contains millions of asteroids ranging widely in size. There are more than 20,000 numbered asteroids in the asteroid belt.
